| Abstract | Two examples are presented of inexpensive fossil specimens bought in museum gift shops that show unusual features of palaeoecological interest. Although such specimens are sold principally as souvenirs for the general public, both amateurs and museum curators can enrich their collections by staying alert for unusual material. |
