Diagnosis: Circular to elliptical, nonpenetrative Oichnus, almost invariably with a broad, high, raised central boss. Aperture of boring overhanging and walls concave.

Diagnosis – (After Blissett & Pickerill, 2003c, p. 223.) “Circular to elliptical, nonpenetrative Oichnus, almost invariably with a broad, high, raised central boss. Aperture of boring may or may not be overhanging, but walls typically concave and may be V-shaped.”

Diagnosis Sedilichnus cf. excavatus (Donovan and Jagt, 2002): Circular to elliptical, nonpenetrative Sedilichnus, with a broad, high, raised central boss or pedestal. Aperture of boring may or may not be overhanging; walls are concave or V-shaped (Blissett and Pickerill,2007; and Zonneveld and Gingras, 2014).
