Diagnosis: Vertical spreiten boring, in which the individual tunnels that make up the spreite are discrete and not overlapping, except where they join near the top of the limbs at the two ends of the spreite; usually linked as a series of two or more spreiten, giving a festoon aspect to the entire structure.
