Diagnosis: A main tunnel following the orientation of the growth rings (tangential). The main tunnel has short lateral tunnels connected to it at almost right angles. These lateral tunnels have rounded terminations and are oriented radially in the log. The internal surface of the boring can bear concave grooves (bioglyphs) oriented transversely to the long axis of the tunnels.
