Serrano-Branas et al., 2018:
Diagnosis. Discrete, drop-like chambers bored into cortical and spongy bone, which abruptly taper towards one end. These borings show smooth perpendicular walls to the bone surface, rounded bases and a length – width ratio ranging from 2:1 to 3:1 No bioglyphs or fillings are present. The traces can be isolated but also arranged in small clusters
